U.S. FDA Bioterrorism Act Food Facility Registration

Step 1 of 3

FDA does not charge a food facility registration fee. To register, non-U.S. food facilities must designate a U.S. Agent for FDA communications. The U.S. Agent serves a different function than your importer, customs broker, commercial distributor, or trade association. FDA communicates through the U.S. Agent to schedule inspections and to alert you of other FDA matters.

Registrar Corp's U.S. Agent service includes:
  • INSPECTION ASSISTANCE: Registrar Corp will assist you to prepare for a scheduled FDA inspection and may provide a Mock FDA Inspection at no charge except travel and lodging. After FDA's inspection, Registrar Corp will help you communicate with FDA regarding the inspection.
  • DETENTION ASSISTANCE: If your product is detained, Registrar Corp will communicate with FDA on your behalf to seek release of the shipment or to help determine the best available course of action
  • REGISTRATION UPDATES: Any changes to the data on your registration must be submitted to FDA within 60 days. Registrar Corp will make necessary updates at no cost.
  • PRIOR NOTICE: A Prior Notice submission must be filed with FDA prior to each shipment of food to the United States. Registrar Corp's U.S. Agent service includes three free Prior Notice filings.
  • CERTIFICATE OF REGISTRATION: Companies often are asked by their customers and suppliers to verify their U.S. FDA food facility registration. FDA does not issue or recognize Certificates of Registration. Certificates of Registration issued by Registrar Corp provide confirmation to industry.
Registrar Corp's Regulatory Specialists can register your company for a one-time fee of $195 and serve as your U.S. Agent for $495 per year. Simply complete the form below:
